Whether you’re browsing for yourself, picking out a gift, or sourcing materials for a classroom, our team can assist with special orders for titles not currently in stock, bulk orders for educational or language materials, and pre-orders for upcoming releases. With their knowledge, passion, and personal touch, our Booksellers ensure every visit is enjoyable, stress-free, and tailored to your reading interests.
Store Manager
Jennifer Jubenville
Jennifer Jubenville has been the Store Manager at The Bookstore at Fitger’s since March 2018. Jennifer is a mood reader and on any given day will tell you that Historical Fiction, Romance, or Mystery/Thriller are her favorite genres. Her favorite part of working at Fitger’s Bookstore is connecting readers and writers through the store’s variety of events.
Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The College of St. Scholastica and a Master of Science in Recreation Management from The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She lives in Superior, Wisconsin, with her husband Jim, and when she’s not at The Bookstore, you can probably find her reading (she’s not picky about her format – she loves print books, audiobooks, and e-Books), cooking, or spending time in nature. Jennifer is also a member of the Empowered Women’s Network Board.

Assistant Manager
Carolyn
Carolyn has been a Bookseller since October 2018 and has served in various positions. She was promoted to Assistant Manager in May 2025. While you can find Carolyn reading a wide variety of genres, her favorites include biographies and memoirs, as well as kids’ chapter books. Her favorite part of working in a bookstore is meeting customers from all over the world and helping them find their next favorite book.
When she’s not at The Bookstore, you can find her traveling, trying a variety of restaurants around the Twin Ports and beyond, or being outside with her family.

Greta
Greta joined our team as a Bookseller in October, 2025. She is a student and would like to work in a library – ideally after studying in Japan. Greta loves to read manga, romance novels, and meeting authors who visit The Bookstore at Fitger’s.

Natalie
Natalie started as a Bookseller in May, 2026. She works with us part-time and loves to read fantasy novels – especially ones that have an epic story arc. When she’s not working at The Bookstore she loves spending time outside with her family.

Joseph has been working as a Bookseller since May, 2026. He’s a recent college graduate and loves reading classic works and closely following Minnesota sports teams, especially UMD hockey.

Penney has been a Bookseller since June, 2026. She’s a student and English major. Penney is a big fan of romance novels (especially the spicy ones) and if she’s not reading you can usually find her sewing.

Harper has been a Bookseller since 2024. She’s studying Psychology and preparing for graduate school, so her list of books often includes classics, psychology books, and other “intellectual” type books, but don’t let that fool you. Harper loves helping readers find the book they’ll most enjoy!
